Wedding Reception and Visitor Guide




Introduction 
We invite you to share a weekend on the Central Coast with Amy Freeman and Jesse Cuellar in celebration of their vows of matrimony. There will be food, wine, dancing, live music and festivities. 


Part of the festivities will include food and wine that was hunted, gathered, grown or handcrafted by Amy and Jesse. And we have been busy...check out pictures and information of our adventures leading up to the big day: HERE...Please check back often as our adventures continue...

We have compiled a list of places to stay, eat, some activities that you can enjoy during your visit, directions to the festivities, and other information. We look forward to seeing you soon.


Reception
The wedding reception will be held Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 6:00pm at 129 Park Place, Shell Beach, CA. Directions and parking information is listed below.

Trains (one of our favorite ways to travel): San Luis Obispo Amtrak station is located in the heart of the city, only a short drive away to Shell Beach.

Planes:
San Luis Obispo Municipal Airport (SBP):15 minute drive to Shell Beach
Santa Barbara (SBA): 1.5 hour drive to Shell Beach
San Francisco (SFO): approx 3.5 hour drive to Shell Beach
Los Angeles (LAX):  approx 3.5 hour drive to Shell Beach

A la Norte - 101 heading south, take the Shell Beach Road Exit; Right immediately at end of off ramp; Left at Shell Beach Road; Right on 129 Park Place. (Reception parking located at Shell Beach Elementary School, 2100 Shell Beach Road)

A la Sur - 101 heading north, take the Spyglass Dr Exit; Left under the overpass; Left at Shell Beach Road; Right on 129 Park Place. (Reception parking located at Shell Beach Elementary School, 2100 Shell Beach Road)

Site-seeing and other adventures: 
Hearst Castle: A 45 minute drive up a beautiful stretch of coast to see an amazing castle and architectural destination. http://www.hearstcastle.org/

Port San Luis: Enjoy a bonfire on the beach or take in the scene of an old fishing port and lighthouse, complete with a modern fish market.

Oso Flaco (A beautiful nature preserve near the ocean a short drive from Pismo Beach and a 1/2 mile stroll to the main lake): www.dunescenter.org/aboutus/ofl.html

Big Sur: The central coast pristine coastline, take a drive up the coast, where you can hike, enjoy waterfalls and cascading bluffs, hunt for jade or just take in the scenes. http://wikitravel.org/en/Big_Sur

Montana de Oro: Mountain bike, hike, ride horses or just take a walk along the bluffs and beaches

Dinosaur Caves: Rent a kayak at Central Coast Kayaks

San Luis Obispo Open Spaces: Trails can keep occupied for hours let you see a some of on foot or mountain bike if you choose

Golfing on the Central Coast: A plethora of options, just ask Tom Freeman for a course suggestion.
